Having started therapy at the age of 10, and being diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, and depression by the time I finished high school, I have struggled with my mental health from an early age. As a result of my own struggles, I decided to study psychology in the hope that someday I would be able to make a difference in the system that I felt had failed me. While studying, I began researching psychedelics, which led me to try psilocybin for the first time; it was a life-changing experience. Suddenly, I felt a sense of purpose, and six months later I was interning with Johns Hopkins Psychedelic and Consciousness Research Unit. In many ways, psychedelics have benefited me in ways modern medicine could not, yet there is still so much work to be done, both personally and professionally. Through my work, I strive to bridge the gap between the arts and science, and to raise awareness and educate about psychedelics.
