AnchoringVR™ is a multisensory canvas designed for patients who go through psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.
Inside the VR, patients construct a memory palace of their acute psychedelic experience while it unfolds, and later transform it into a mind map of their entire therapeutic process, from preparation, through dosing and integration, opening the doors to engaging in self-practice.
By merging the profound emotional experience with a unique, multisensory stimulus, AnchoringVR™ leverages a patent-pending process of anchoring psycho-emotional experiences that emerged during the psychedelic session, so they can be revisited throughout the integration.
Emotionally, AnchoringVR™ re-evokes a similar state that was experienced during the dosing session. Psychologically, AnchoringVR™ engages in tangible methods of thought exploration, non-verbal communication and deep, iterative meaning-making process.
About the Experience
As individuals, we have limited time and capacity to glean insights from our lives. As a collective, we can produce an unlimited map of insights, experiences, and profound realizations. AnchoringVR™ collects insight stars from everyone who visits it, building an immersive, endless constellation to be shared by us all. Visitors put on a VR headset, and are transformed into an Australian beach, with the sound of waves and changing colors of the sunset.
On the beach, they are presented with intention crystals, which contain a prompt or a question about their personal experience. When ready, they are offered a star, which becomes an audio-recording anchor of their insight, a piece of wisdom, an idea, a message. Each star is added to the collective constellation, which can be visited by anyone who wants to listen, explore, grow or receive guidance.
How to Join
Visitors can pre-book their 10-minute slot via Wonderland Miami App or wait in the queue at the VR booth.
Instructions
Listen to the question contained in one of the crystals. Use one or two stars to record your answers. Put your stars into the treasure chest. You’ll be teleported to another site. Listen to the stars recorded by others and add your own.
Experience provided by Enosis Therapeutics Pty Ltd. a psychedelic start-up founded by Agnieszka D. Sekula, a psychedelic researcher at Swinburne University, and Dr. Prashanth Puspanathan, a Melbourne-based medical doctor. Enosis was formed to advance experiential design in psychedelic-based treatment by leveraging virtual reality’s unique, state-altering properties. Founders aim to empower patients to take leadership in their own healing journey by using VR to break away from the constraints of the analog system. Their therapeutic approach promotes non-cognitive, experiential, emotional and embodied aspects of treatment.
Enosis sits at the intersection of research and industry, providing carefully designed virtual reality scenarios and clinical protocols that employ them at specific points of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy to improve the quality of the patient experience and therapy outcomes.
The team is currently introducing its AnchoringVR™ model into ketamine clinics and research institutions worldwide.
