Dr. Mike North, PhD

CEO/Founder, Shiftwave

Doc North is an undaunted anything but mild scientist/engineer. He’s a four time Discovery Channel host, including the hit series Outrageous Acts of Science. He’s taught at UC Berkeley and has been published in Nature. He’s created many spectacles of engineering, including an electric hotrod that won best green car at SEMA in 2009 and a 30,000 pound water slide simulator. Now his efforts are focused on healing humans from the inside out with the Slow Wave technology he co-invented. Using intelligent patterns of pulsed pressure waves, Slow Wave drives the human body and mind into a state of resonance and an internal state of flow. As a thought leader Doc North has delivered hundreds of talks including the commencement address at UC Santa Barbara and emceed MIT technology reviews emtech Singapore.

Today, advances in technology make it possible to both monitor the physical and mental human state. We've rented a field about a 5-minute walk from the hotel from 11am-5pm on Sunday (the day after the conference) for people to come relax, get some exercise, and enjoy some play time before heading back to reality.

Games to Support Nonprofits

This year, we’ll be adding The Playground, an area with a number of games for people to play. Each time someone wins a game, they will be able to donate $1 to one of five pre-selected nonprofits. At the end of the conference, Wonderland will be donating lump sums to the five organizations based on the selections of attendees.

The Third Annual Wonderland Awards

Get ready for a night of celebration, entertainment, and connection as we watch the sunset over the gardens of Miami. The Awards will take place early Thursday evening and will open up with cocktails and mingling, followed by comedy and the awards ceremony, ending with music and outdoor games.
